There are a variety of businesses located in Wears Valley, including cabin rentals, real estate, builders, business & residential services, a farmers' market, wagon & pony rides, and many more. These are mostly small family-owned businesses. Over the years the owners of some of these businesses have formed several organizations at different times, including the Wears Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Wears Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Wears Valley Business Association to attempt to have a coordinated business presence in the valley. Such organizations have come and gone over the years. This web site for the Wears Valley Chamber of Commerce is maintained as an adjunct to the Townsend Chamber of Commerce. Townsend and Wears Valley have many similarities - they are separated by a ridge but connected by Tennessee Highway 321 which runs through both.
